What about a betta? My old betta lived a year in it

ideally nothing, it's very very small. But if i had to, i would say snail and shrimp tank like aqua tom

Ditch the substrate, it makes the tank look really small

If by pair you mean male + female... X_X Baby explosion!!!

I'd only keep fry in that for a week or two, and that only if I had no choice.
5-7 gallon would be better for tiny fish / fish that aren't active much and are tiny too, mostly a betta.

well the most i would suggest is to have a filter, heater, gravel a plant and a few black tetras. thats the most your going to fit in there. It is too small really to have more that 4/5 small tetras in there. Try getting a bigger tank for the fish or use this one for goldfish.

You couldn't put tetras in there as they need a larger group and a decent swimming area and you couldn't put a goldfish as they grow too big and are messy little you know whats

Bought some of those for one of the kids years go. My Mrs thought they were "nits in a tank"!!

Please don't put a goldfish in it, it's far too small.
You could have a Betta at a push or have it as a shrimp tank
