Im gunna put my money on goby. definately can't be a danio, neon, or cory, they lay eggs, and your friend would most definately know if they had layed eggs. but thogh it looks nothing like a platy, i have had guppy fry shaped like seahorses before (i kid u not). but if you want to completely rule out platy, goby would be the closest fit.

weve had eggs transfered from tank to tank on -plants before... then hatch in the new home...
