Neons, Barbs, Cory to name a few will do fine in a 12gall tank..

Or if you really are interested in the fish and their well being save your cash and buy a 30gall tank then you have a much wider variety of fish available to you.
 
Agreed... it seems asthough everytime I read your post on your tank/ new tank mates, they're always huge, you then get told to bring all the large fish back yet you don't... I can understand being attached to fish, yet still you need a much larger tank... Also I think it's a spotted highfin plec...

A lot of us find neons/barbs/corys to get rather boring after a certain point, lol..
Although, some more interesting things like a dwarf puffer might be nice..

I'm sure you do but if you cant house the more interesting fish then leave them in the shop.

He was gorgeous wasn't he? I rehomed him along with our oscar and co last summer, he just didn't have enough room in our (seriously) 6ft x 2ft (tall) x 18" (wide) tank. They all went to live in a 7 x 2 x 2ft tank with a lovely couple :)

aww! i love o's whenever i see them in the Lfs lol i might get a seperate 6x2x2 tank for one! but if you say yours didnt have enough room i dont think i can get a bigger one! lol. Glad you let him go to a nice couple.
 
Oh no I meant my gibby didn't have enough room. NoName the oscar was fine in there, it's just back then I was going through a rough patch pelvis wise, so couldn't keep up with the high maintenance fish. :sad:
