You still can't tell for sure, i'm thinking Texas x blood parrot, i had a female blood parrot that was barred in the same way as this fish its entire life (alot like a barred midas)

Plus Blood Parrot x Carpintis (red texas attempts) are that sorta shape and are very common.#

The stripes don't look like convict stripes to me, they look to neat, like a Severum.

First one is allegedly a Jaguar x EBJD.

I would say thats a texas x convict, the head shape is the same as my convict cross, but the rest of the shape is texas. Howefer, there is a possibility that it could be texas x jd, they come out a very similar cross. Do the black bands come and go or are they permanent? if they fade depending on mood its texas x JD

Yes the bands come and go with moods... He's mainly spangled and bluey green

From the little research I have done on hybrids, the majority of the time the main colouration is of the father, hence my rotkeil x convict is convict colouration and severum shaped. The banding coming and going is the texas, their bands will show up depending on mood. If the lips on your fish are thick and blue I would say JD x texas, that gene seems to come out all the time with JD hybrids lol
