I was a complete novice to fish keeping but knew it was something I'd really like to do. Thankfully I found this forum before I even bought a tank and so I have had the best possible start and so have my fish.

I followed all the advice on fishless cycling and read new threads avidly arming myself with information and the joy I've got at buying some fish yesterday is indescribable. Knowing that my tank is cycled, that I know how to use my test kit and understand what the readings mean, and what to do with the readings mean that my fish are happy swimming away and I am happy.

I just wanted to say thanks to all the people who have posted threads and all the people that have posted advice because even though I haven't posted, it doesn't mean that I haven't read it. :good:

It's results like yours that make me happy to come on here every day. I'm so happy to hear that TFF has helped you and look forward to seeing what you do in the future.

Now, for you to truly be a member her you must post pictures. We are obsessed with pictures here and all must share.

What an excellent start for you and your fish :good:
Welcome to the forum btw......

What sort of setup and fish do you have?

I have a 90l Fluval tank with 6 Green neon tetras, 6 Rosy barbs and 6 Espe's rasboras. I may add some cardinals or neons in there at a later date but I don't want to overstock.

They all seem quite happy at the moment. :D

Hear, hear I second that, was in exactly the same boat as you and this forum pretty much had all the answers, fish shopping for me imminent.

Special Thanks to Glolite for her mature filter media :good: and waterdrop for the re-assurance when my cycle was driving me nuts :good:
