Why is it that everytime I buy a tetra fish it gets ICK. All my other fish are fine. There are no sudden changes in water temp or ph. Why ?

Neon tetras are notorious for not being able to handle the stress' of change. One way to stack the odds in your favor is to find out when your lfs is going to get a shipment of them and then wait a couple weeks, see which tetras they have left and then buy those. By then the weaker fish will have died or been sold and what is left is much more likely to survive in your tank.
