Ich On My First Ever Marine Fish :(

Only bought it on Sunday niger trigger and its itchin itself lol i think i must be one of the unluckiest people to set up a tank with the problems iv had!
There is also a small picasso and blue damsel which are not itching at all
I have a vectron 600uv running and my salinity is .22 temp is 25c.
It is eating tho what should i do just leave it see what happens? Only inverts are hermits but obviously i dont know whats in the live rock either bollox

Forgotten the name, but in marines, "ich" is called something else, but I think the treatment is the same.... I merely raise my temperature for 3 days & slowly reduce to my original temp.

oh how i wish that was true - get the fish out asap and into qt before the cycts drop off into the tank (remember, you can use any food safe container with a powerhead and heater

dont think much chance me catchin him in 700litre tank. If i do how long would i keep it quarantined for only in a flat and room is at the minimal to say the least

It's called cryptocarin.

You have to put the fish in quarantine for 6-8 weeks. You can try feeding them food dipped in garlic to help fight the infection... I can't had much success with that though.

He has been eating fine had him nearly 3 weeks now but he scratches all the time but has NO white spots on him. He does however have white patches on his fins which even my friends have asked whats wrong with him? Any suggestions!

yep i know all about the ich cycle.
Thing is he's done it since third day i got him and thats 3 weeks on sunday. All my other fish are fine.
Im thinking maybe it could be flukes?
