Hi all, i have had a bad time with my cold water tank, i had 2 goldfish and a koi carp living happily and healthy, i decided my koi needed some company so purchased another one from my lfs, it soon became apparent that it was sick and the disease has since killed my original 3 fish despite medicating:-( , the carrier is still hanging in there but i'm sure it won't last much longer. I'v been using ws3, is this right?

If it dies how do i disinfect the tank, substrate and filter??? Can i still use the filter for my new stock?

Many thanks in advance,

Jonny

Koi should not be kept in fish tanks they need ponds.
Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and whichg type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

if your fish dies, do noting, dont add stock for a week or so. and dose the tank with ammonia to keep the filter alive. the Ick parasite needs fish to survive. but if you wish, empty the tank and let it dry, that will kill everything in there. do the same with the filter media. then start again with a fish less cycle.
