Ich In Tank

Seems like a bad week all round.
Lost one fish and the other is ballooning up.

I am now down to 7 cardinals out of the original 20. There should be 9 but i cant fine the two missing ones & i have moved everything about looking for them. i think they well be in the filter so I will check tomorow when I do maintenance.

Th 7 remaining Tetras look a lot healthier now & are showing bright colours again as well as being active again.

Got my second dose of whitespot treatment tomorow, then i will do a third 4 days after that & hopefully kill all the pesky parasites.

Did the second full dose of medication today. First i did a thourough substrate clean, even removed all the wood & stones. I reused the tank water as I did not want to dilute any already dosed medication.

All the fish are looking healthy & happy.

Removing all the decore must of dislodged somthing because my wife spotted the two missing tetras stuck in a corner this evening, they where very much decomposed so where imediatly removed, wierd thing is i didnt see the when i was doing the clean. At least they were not buried in the sand as I had started to fear.

This fishkeeping malarky sure keeps you on your toes.

I have a group of 6 cherries, they are so peaceful.

The tank seems to be getting on fine now. I will start to lower the tempreture gradualy back to normal tonight keeping a close eye on the tetras, they are like the miners canaries of my tank.
