Your impellor looks ok to me, the motor might have burnt out.

I'll try hooking it up once more, if it doesn't work then i guess i'll h ave to bring it to the shop, i have another filter, but it's a horrible one.
I've hooked that one up but i'm going to still have to do larger water changes until thursday

Filters don't you just love them, always trouble.
Good luck, hope some one else can help you more.

Thanks god for that well done.

it must have had something to do with the impeller, because right before i put it make it clicked so i guess it was clicked out of place

Yep they can play up like that mine do.
Glad you sorted it.
Off to bed now tired.
Good night.

Darnit. it stopped working AGAIN. it was when i was putting the extender part at the bottom where it sucks in the water,
then where it connects to the motor/impeller part got filled with water....i tried emptying out the water and refilling it, i heard it humm but then that was it...what's amatter now? :(

Just retry moving it again. Its getting stuck again. Its going to burn out otherwise. When it hums, it is working, but if theres no water by it, then it will fail. I'm pretty sure that the water is fine to have in it. Its just that it keeps on getting stuck. I know how you feel though, i maintain all of the pumps of water features at a garden center. Getting them started is a messy busineess. Just keep flicking the power switch till it works.
Another tip... sand down the edges of the engine thing as you call it (plastic bit which looks like helicopter wings) so theres slightly more clearence from the sides. Only do it about 1mm on each one. This will ensure theres easier clearence and put less strain on the motor. I had to do that for a new filter of mine which kept on breaking down. This might void your warranty though so its up to you to take the risk or not. but i doubt they will notice if you do it well enough.

However, it does seem that your filter may have had it :S You can syphon out the "crap" excuse my crudeness, but also put the biowheel into the tank as otherwise you might trigger a mini-cycle, having a HOB. Do partial water changes a little more often whilst you syphon out the crap, but also increase the areation in the tank.I believe a property of the biowheel is the ability to areate the water, so some of this will be lost. If you dont have another pump, then improvise and get a 12v tyre pump that doesnt deliver too much umph, and pump that through. (Thats what you call DIY)

When you take the impeller out, see if there's anything in there - a bit of plant or something, or even a tiny snail. Try cleaning around the impeller slot with a cotton bud. And clean the impeller blades while you're at it, too.
