Hello, I was looking at my plants in my aquarium, when I noticed this:

Should I worry about this yet? This is a cycling tank. Also, how should I remove it? Or should I not? And what exactly is this???????????

I’m not sure what kind of plant it is, but it looks like it’s trying to propagate! Those are new leaves and roots. My Java fern is doing the same thing. It means the plant is doing very well!

I also agree. It's a plant propagation. My Egyptian lotus is doing something similar, but it's cloning on the leaves...never saw anything like it and I am an exotic aquatic plant lover (horder, lol)

Usually that means you're taking good care of your plants, and they're trying to reproduce and spread out.

@Goldfish4EVER What kind of plant is that, anyway? Looks almost like a java fern, but not quite.

I'm not sure about this particular plant, but some of my plants slowly die after producing plantlets, just a natural process I assume. Disappointed maybe, but there are a lot of clones . . .
