I Think My Betta May Have Fin Rot

Awwwww I am sooooooooo happy maybe I could make his fins all nice and not scruffy

I was just getting worried though as he seems to be losing a few schales on his head and I thought that that was also a sign of fin rot!!

losing scales is normal unless over a really large area. it can preceed color change of those scales also which can be rather dramatic. not a sign of fin rot.
his scruffiness might never correct itself. if you want to try, give him a go with a mirror everyday for months to help straighten the rays out. it works somewhat but takes a long time. but if you should so choose, it wont bother him that his fins are (what i call) ruffes its just different. not harmful.

Awwww thank you!! He has got a mirror in his tank already... It came on the sides, I didn't know it was good for him hehe

I am glad he is ok and looking forward to getting some more fish on Sat now whoooo
