I Think My Betta Has Dropsy

Hi my betta is fat and his scales are sticking out i think this is dropsy.Is there anthign i can do or is he going to die? I must admit he isnt the best looking betta ever but his character is wicked.I don't want to lose him

sorry to hear abut youur betta. Once the scales are sticking out it has organ failure, not much you can do for the poor fella now putting him in a salt bath would help though to draw out some of the fluids, good luck

thankyou for the reply.Im gutted because you can just imagin how much pain he is in .Looks im going betta shopping .Might look for crowntail.I bet there about £15 anyway.

you dont need to pay that much for a CT. sorry that your fish has dropsy.

I never see them in shop and the only place to get them is the internet.My dad dont like buying fish off the internet so ill never get one off there.On the internet they are about £15 for any kind of tail you want.(ct,nalf moon etc)

you could try some antibiotics they may help, dropsy isnt really cureable though. I pmed you

Try Kanamycin (VERY hard to find. The drug is kanamycin sulfate.) and 3 tsp. of epsom salt.

I dont think you can get it in the UK without prescription
