Right, ive been thinking.

I haven't really got the room to upgrade my tank and wont have for a while. Its only 15g, but why not make the plants look nice and as healthy as possible.

I currently have 1wpg lighting and i dose TPN+ and easycarbo.

But i think im going to get myself some co2 as well..

Whats the easiest co2 kit available? I dont fancy spending hundreds of pounds on one for obvious reasons, but i dont really have a price range.

I also dont fancy messing around with fire extinguishers. :p

Nutrafin one is pretty good i use one on my 35l which has given good results, i personally on your tank would use two of them and change the mixture at different times of the week to try keep it more stable.

Other than that you could mod your own one with a couple of 2 litre pop bottles, as long as you can hide them from view its a nice cheap way of doing it.

Nutrafin ones are usually about £16 each on ebay so not badly priced :)

i had a double diy co2 in my tank. mix one on say, tues and one on sat...that's what i did and it worked great! of course i was using liter sized bottles. 2 liters you could mix more so change alternating every week.

Yep pretty much that lol ;)

Im confused...

LOL, the mixture(home made) is just sugar, yeast and water.... if you have two bottles/kits then you would change the mixture on different days of the week like lorax said maybe 1 on a sataurday say and then 1 on the wedsnesday just to get the mixure to keep producing CO2. This way the CO2 level going into the tank is constant and doesnt fluctuate to much.

Oh you mean like just have a spare bottle and keep swapping so one doesnt... Get low and produce less co2?

Or did i miss the point completely?

Point is pretty much got, just that both would be running on the tank at the same time, just if you change on different days the mixture is more liking to be fine on 1 and then dips on the other so you can change the 1 dipping and the 2nd is still running fine, then do the same again on the other bottle a few days l8r.

Hm, would i need a drop checker with this nutrafin kit?

If your using two kits then i would say yes to be on the safe side.... 1 kit no just for the reason i doubt it would produce enough CO2 on that size tank to even come close to harming fish nor shrimp etc.
