Ok just a quick update
I have been to see a local cabinet maker, and he reckons he can have my design made within the next 2 weeks so i have gone for that
But to be honest this whole trying to plan the design of the tank is starting to drive me mad there’s just so many different ways you can do thing I have already changed the design several times so In the mean time while the cabinet is been built i would like some help / advice please I was thinking of connecting my ocean runner 2500 in the sump to a SCWD then returning the water to the tank as in the IMG


{what do you think good idea? or bad? should i upgrade to an OR 3500?} umm i just don’t know!!!
My next problem is i am going to need a power head for flow i was thinking of the following...
1} tunze 6055 £133.75/Tunze 7091 controller £37.50/ photo cell £11.75 total £183. And possibly a Tunze Nanostream Rock £27.00 total £210
2}VorTech MP20 £211.38
3} VorTech MP10 price at around £145 here in uk May/June
Again more questions sorry peep,s / which one do you think would be best for my tank or do I need 2 of them { want to keep the tank as clean looking as possible don’t want power heads all over the place if possible}

Any particular reason why ski? please excuse my ignorance but I have never had tunze or VorTech pumps before so I am guessing the VorTech is a better make?

I just think it's a little more user-friendly and the price is similar. Also, I much prefer their magnet mounting system to the Tunze mounting system. The only drawback to the VorTechs is that you can't hide them very well, so if aesthetics is your thing, it might be better to go the Tunze with the rock cover.

As far as make/reliability goes, they're about the same, both top quality
