From the title, two of my tanks (A 40L and my main 200L) have both grown copious amounts of blackish, tufty algae. It grows on almost everything, and my bristlenose show no interest in it. After doing some superficial internet research, i think it may be Black Brush Algae, and i REALLY want to get rid of it. I read that SAE are a good counter, but other than that i dont know
Please help?

Yes, after looking at that i definitely think it is brush algae.
Do you think that a siamese algae eater would help with this? Or would it just add another (or mabye more) useless fish to my tank?

I've never tried it but you could. If that fish isn't on your want list I wouldn't bother though. Just apply the other principles. :good:

I too have that algae problem i have chinese algae eater and he dont touch it also have 2 x flyin fox and they dont seem to bother either do any of my other fish. I am currently trying the overdose method with flourish excel. I aint come across any fish yet that will eat this stuff.
