I went to PetSmart today and they had this tiny tiny betta in a "Large" cup his fins were all clamped down and he was just laying on the bottom of his tank, his color was poor too. The lady there said he was too young to ship and the stress made him sick so they were going to freeze him....... Something about him made me love him instantly So i bought him!

He is now in 2 Liters of water with gravel and a plants on my fridge so its warm
he ate or tried he is really too small to eat pellets so I am going to try frozen foods tomorrow

he is more color ful and his fins arent as clamped
but he still lays on the bottom of the tank unless you move the tank then he is active for an hour or so or if you put food in he seems to love food

What do I do I put betta fix and primafix in the tank (less then recommended doseage as he is tiny ) less then half and inch including his tail

He loves ppl and perks up if you put your finger in the tank loves to rub against my finger nails hmmmm odd lol

anyways I will post a pic as soon as I find my camera

maybe get some frozen brine shrimp for him (the kind that have been gut-loaded with spirulina); smaller fish can't always manage bloodworms.

I'm not sure about anyone else on the forum, but I would advise not using the Bettafix (unless you've had good results with it already) I'd recommend either Faith's BettaZing (http://www.bettatalk.com/buy_supplies.htm#meds)
or Stress Coat.

Other then that and what other people have said.....

Good Luck!!! Would love to see a picture as well!

I had some small bettas shipped to me in the past that were too small to eat pellets. I crushed up the pellets and feed them frozen bloodworms that I chopped up. As far as meds go I've always used melafix and it has served me well in the past. Just remember the water changes and I'm sure he will get better.
