I would not of got this one!
Looking quite Ill, clearly see blood vessels in the caudal and anal fin looking a little red!

Make sure you treat this fish when you get it.

He is actually the most active and I treat all my fish after getting them after recent events.

How do you treat them? You shouldn't put new fish through unnecessary medical treatments, they have gone through enough stress between shipping to the shop, then to your house and being in a new tank.

So when you say you "treat" all new fish - what do you do?

Also, all new fish should be quarantined for 2 months. If they are in the shop tank together they can be quarantined together, but considering they most likely housed all the bettas by themselves, you will have to quarantine them by themselves.

Just curious, but why did you buy new bettas when all of your current bettas are dying? You should be figuring out what is wrong with your current stock before buying more

Your post about all your dying off bettas

They are all in different tanks currently the tank with the problems is set by itself and I have actually been using aquarium salt and water changes for that tank which is helping as for the new fish I treat them with 1/3 less salt and watch them and will be doing water changes 2 to 3 times a week and since males can't go with each other they will never be with any other fish since all I really have are bettas and a few cory (the cory don't seem to be the only ones that aren't affected).

edit:
Almost forgot I also found out the plague that happened to my fish was started buy a clerk giving me a injured female which the cuts got a fungal infection which caused the out break the fin rot appeared first which was caused by the same stores water which currently has a large out break of fin rot ( I didn't buy any of the current ones from there when to a complete different store called Bobs Tropical fish which is a mom and pop store)

What is the redness in the caudal and anal fin a symptom of?

Probably poor water with secondary infection. but I would treat it with a melifix and/or protozin mix personally.

im going to disagree and say that that male crowntail looks fine to me. The redness (ie streaks in the fins) is just coloration and the blood vessels near the base of the caudal fin are appearing as such because of the pale body of the fish and the back-lighting of the pic (can see the same on the pale bodied yellow female). Like holding a flashlight behind your hand-makes the vessels appear redder than they actually are. I see nothing wrong with that fish to be honest.
And I also want the yellow female! She is gorgeous!!!!
cheers

Okay thanks, because I have a pale halfmoon and his blood vessels look a bit like that, or a bit less pronounced like the yellow female, and I was wondering if it signifies a problem. Sorry to hijack. :good:
