I Need Help W. My Heater

I just bought one today.. it said the dial is set in the 70s but i dont know if its working.. it has a light but its not turning on.. and i thought the heater was suposed to glow while it heated. am i wrong? is it broken? i dont want another dead fish

My heater doesn't glow, it just has a red light half way down the tube that comes on when the heater is on.

Mine looks like it should have a red light. The heater is made by marineland. It is also a 25 watt. I have yet to see the light come on.

Nevermind. I just took a look at the heater and the light is on.

Maybe you should invest in a thermometer if you havn't already. Many heaters are unreliable in the way most of them dont set to the temperature you set on the dial
