I Need Help Please!

what about tap water conditioner? :P

There's plenty of evidence floating around which debates how essential water conditioner is anyway. while i always advise to use it cos it's easy and cheap, i'm certainly not going to worry if i forget or run out for a week or two.

it's interesting this bio-film thing, CFC's mentioned it before in reference to the difference between a 'mature' and a 'cycled' tank. i'm not sure i buy into the theory tbh :/

really?! i thought tap water conditioner was one of the essentials. i always thought that if you didn't put in conditioner all your bacteria died due to chlorine and other additives. can you tell me where you heard this? i'd love to have one less thing to worry about with water changes. i'll still use it but at least i won't fret about how much to put in

i didn't know that there was more to this bio-film than that i covered everything and make it slimey. when he said that the film coats the coral and stops it from working, i just figured he must be right because it wasn't working for me. it never really occured to that there was more to it. i'll have to look into that as well :D

i would stick to using water conditioner if i were u !!!!!

Well found out what the probnlem is my local water board put no buffers in the water, and that is obviously what is causing the crash, so looks like il just need to keep a shell or something in anyway like i do anywaay! :good:
