I've just purchased yet another tank, I must be mad!

I bought 2 4ft tanks with all equipment on 1 metal stand at the weekend for £45(bargain!) and I've just bought a 31" tank with all equipment & stand for £39.99, ebay is to blame. So now I have 7 tanks and I'm still trawling ebay / local ads for more bargains, good thing we're looking for a bigger house, gonna need a mansion at this rate. I keep seeing 5 / 6ft tanks for next to nothing and I'm dying to get a few, just got to resist the urge until I know our new house has the space. I've already told my husband I want a room just for tanks

I keep trawling eBay too, but not found anything yet. I got my current two tanks this way though, but I want 4ft or larger now. Oh well... Pay day/Birthday is approaching

I always see tanks on ebay, even if they are little 21L hex's and I think...oh well it's only a fiver but I resist the urge because I think ah but add another 40 or so and I could get a much bigger one LOL.

I'm not sure what to do on my bday, my husband has said I can either learn to drive or get a 5ft tank(providing we have the space), such a hard choice, I really need to learn to drive, esp. because I could drive to lots of fish shops when he's away on his aikido courses instead of being stuck in!

i'm the same, every time i fill a tank with fish i think of another fish i'd like to keep, fed up with being beaten to finishing post on ebay trying to get a bargin, someone else always has more cash , must get more ruthless

Oh yah...I started this hobby a month ago and have 3 tanks, a 2.5 gallon bettta, then i got a 5 gallon, then a 10!!!and get this i got a call from my mom who is going to drop off a FREE 50 gallon (us gallon) tank!! Four tanks in about a month and a half. I am so hooked and so broke

does anyone think i have room for anything else, this is what i want to add after it has cycled:
6+ glass catfish
6+ boesmani rainbowfish
pair of german blue ram cichlids
butterfly fish
bristlenose pleco
moolight gourami or maybe dwarf gouramis if i cant find one.
4-6corys-maybe sterbai?
amano shrimp
will be well planted.

Do i have room for anythng else and if so what?

LMAO Cheesy, I always think that when I'm on ebay, always seems to be someone who bids just a little more then I'm willing too.

The 4ft tanks on the double stand amazed me though, it was on for weeks and I couldn't decide whether to get it or not because we haven't got room(it's in a relatives garage till we move). The bloke had 2 lots as well I got the better one though as both of them had lids / lights and all equipment as well as a massive box full of allsorts from spare filters / air pumps to test kits & power gravel cleaners, I was so excited when I saw a nutrafin diffuser then found the cannister, then the crap satchets of stuff but alas no lid or tubing, how annoyed was I! Nevermind, I've just bought one off ebay for £5 including p&p

Picking up the other tank tomorrow, which I will be setting up in the kitchen, just gotta get some more sand!

LOL I also ended up with another tank bringing the total to 5. Only 3 are in use. I went looking for some suitcases in a rummage store and spotted a little 2.5 gal bowfront complete with filter and lighted hood for 50 cents. Who can resist a bargain like that. It's in pretty bad shape but holds water and doesn't leak. With some scrubbing I'll have another hospital tank.
