and gone is 24 and Bones.

DAMN YOU SKY AND VIRGIN MEDIA!!

*sobs*

and don't say "oh just download it" i don't get all that torrent rubbish. bafflement. i just wanna park my butt in front of the telly.

You should feel lucky to have had sky. I just have freeview (Rubbish).

Yeah and what did we get instead? "on demand" shows that no one wants to watch.
Re-runs made out to look like they are doing us a favour. Great.

Got rid of sky along time ago best thing I ever did.
Repeats all the time, and over priced tv.

Sky and Virgin had a fight and they took Sky TV away from NTL/Virgin media - so we all lost all our Sky channels.

Virgin were very juvenile about it and put up a message saying they had taken their ball and gone to play elsewhere - or words to that effect.

To be honest, we really didn't watch Sky that often and it was always opportunistic in that we'd be flicking through and see something on, never that we planned to sit down and watch something, but I resent paying NTL the same money and having poorer channels.

i am annoyed coz i miss 24 and Rescue Me and my boy will miss Simpsons

how can i download these please?

I'm gutted too - despite watching hardly any TV at all. So now I'll just have to resort to Torrents again :shout:

First of all - don't even think about it if you are in dial-up :)

Firstly, you need a "client" such as Azureus. This manages the files you download. Then you need some bittorrent sites to find your files such as: Meganova, mininova, mybittorrent etc.

It confused the living daylights out of me in the beginning and I'm just an entry level bittorrent user - but know enough bare basics to get me what I want !

Just be aware that not all files are .avi and you may need something like divx to view some files. Also, be careful as some are especially for PSP's, iPod's and in different languages.

Good luck :good:

You say damn you SKY and Virgin Media.. but can you blame both?

SKY.. in an attempt to gain market share or even retain market share against other ways of getting tv, they force their prices to virgin media by almost double so that it forces virgin to remove it from their channel listings, and makes virgin look bad. They also lose potentially £60 million in advertising revenues as they have just ditched 20% or so of their viewers. Come the summer, its looking like they will be removing them from freeview too, which means they will lose 50% of the viewers of the sky channels.

Virgin.. trying to protect unnecessary increases in subscription for their customers, they refuse to pay double the price for the sky channels..

Who is the baddie here? OFCOM are looking at this to ensure that competitiveness in the market is upheld.
