I Like Tanganyika Chichlids And I Like Malawi Cichlids..

If you had the right sized tank what fish/combinations of fish would you go for?

I just want to know what the african cichlid fans like best Tanganyika fish or malawi fish?


I have set up a small tank currently holding a few shell dwellers but I can see myself getting a large tank in the near future.



For me I would have to go for Lake Tanganyika fish because what they lake in colour they make up for in different shapes and sizes ie julies, lamps and compressiups (not sure how you spell it)

I like both so find it impossible to pick a favourite.
When I kept shell-dwellers, I would spend hours watching them create their "homes" and even more hours watching the fry.
With Malawi, I just love watching their behaviour and seeing how many babies I can spot at feeding time!
