hey guys/gals

i was given some angels yesterday as they needed to be rehomed and i thought i would do a good deed and take them in,even though i dont particualy like them.

i thought i would give them a chance and popped them in the tank.

ever since the tank is completely different, they charge evrything,my rams, keyholes and even my corys!!

i have 2 different sorts,2 marbled and 2 light coloured honey things,lol

not sure what to do,do they not get on well with rams, keyholes and corys?

i will take them back to the chap if advised to

try Moving some of the decor around they'll be tryin to sort out who is the most dominant in the tank they should settle in a few day's ...When i first got mine the done the exact same but now they're great !

Technically speaking, they should be fine with the rams, keyholes and corydoras, they may just be finding their way and trying to establish they are the dominant species, or do you know if they are breeding pairs?

If they dont settle, I would be inclined to return them, but then Ive never been an angel fan myself.

nope neither am i,i just didnt want them goin to the lfs

if they dont get it together in a few days i will re-home them myself.

the 2 marbled are pretty big,the other 2 honey looking things are very small,i think 1 of them thinks its a gold ram, wahahahahhaah

nope not breeding pairs.

would the angels be the most dominent in the tank now then going by species?

Hey Mark, how are they today? Have the settled more?

If not, you could try removing them (bagging), having a re-arrange of the tank decor (pain I know particuarly when you have it looking like you want it  ) and then re-introducing them, failing that, you may have to rehome them.

hey mags

no different today,it seems like the 2 marbled one's are the biggest pain. they both charge everything near and also each other. The 2 honey coloured small ones are pretty cool to be honest, thye just float round the tank no problem!!

i have moved the tank around abit, and added different caves/hideouts but no better

I will give them until friday (no choice as im at work until then) and if no change i will re-home them again

i was thinking maybe taking the 2 marbled out 1st if i have 2 and see how the 2 smaller honeys get on,as they seem alright,as there small.

By the way the filter is going today via interlink, should get it tommorrow :good:

Thanks Mark :)

If its the marbled that are causing the problems, then worth taking them out then, or maybe even just one.

i have rehomed all 4 angels now, its a shame as i realy wanted to like angels, but they ruined the atmos in my tank!!

i have 2 new apisto's to be introduced tomoz :p

back to the angels, the lfs has given me store credit - £18 -_- no idea why but not complaining

what do you think i should add to the tank?

now i have:

4 gbr's
6 gold rams
5 keyholes
3 panda corys (due to be rehomed)
3 sterbai corys (due to be rehomed)
6 c.similis corys
1 L134 plec
2 apisto's

i also plan to have 2 aureus's in there too,so do you think anything would be good in there that i can get for £18?

I think you need some dither fish, what kind of shoaling species do you like?

 yeah basically, a shoaling species that makes the other fish feel more secure, if there are free swimming fishies, then there are obviously no large predators around.

what do you reckon,i could do with some more colour in the tank?

there are so many tetra's/rasbora's etc etc.

rummy noses are ok,but abit bland.

Well clearly my preference is for rainbowfish, not a tetra fan myself. Dwarf neon rainbows (praecox), boesemani are exceptionally stunning fish and you could have a nice sized group in your tank.

Otherise, congo tetras are nice, in a large group not too skittish, bleeding heart tetras are also colourful, both of those not too nippy either.

You dont have to add dithers, I just find they liven the tank up a bit as the cichlids tend to stay near the bottom of the tank, unless feeding.
