hi peeps

I bought some fish from my LPS a few months ago and the label called them mickie's, as their about an inch long, orange with 3 black spots on their tails that resemble mickey mouses head. does anyone know what these fish are actually called and wether they "are" live breaders as I prosumed they were as 2 of the fish had the sicky out bits like the male mollies and male stordtail have...

any help would be very helpful, also I've tried to take numerous pictures but there fast little things and my digital camera isn't fast enough for them. :*)

kiss kiss :*

Yeah, they're just a colour variant of the ordinary platy. Livebearers, ideal ratio is 2 females or more/male, breed a LOT, but some will eat their fry, can store sperm from one mating for several batches of fry, can produce fry every 4-6 weeks, very attractive little fish IMO.
Like a varied diet, flakes, some veg (peas and the like) and some bloodworms/daphnia.
They will breed with platies of other colours; my pink Mickey Mouse male bred with my Orange Wagtail, producing some pink MIckeys, some pink Wagtails and one Orange Wagtail, possibly one pink Wagtail.
