Select "My Controls" near the top right hand corner of this page, then select "edit avatar settings" from the left hand side. If it doesn't let you do it, then maybe they have something on here that only allows people with 'X' posts to do so. In that case, keep checking and eventually the option will be made available for you. At 1300 posts or so, you can even have your own rating label . wwwwooooooooooo heheheheh.

I agree with andywg's post. There is no need at all to keep a Tetradon Mbu in 1000 Gallon's of water. I would say a 7 or 8 foot tank will be fine for him throughout his life. Infact, if you got an 8 foot then you could make a really stunning tank and get another large fish in there, for example an adult frontasa.
Just keep up with the water changes and filtration.

No but I wish I did, was actually thinking about gettin one as have decided not to put stingrays in new 7 x 2 x 2 tank and can't decide what to use it for.

Like you I find them to be more like a puppy, when i was working at that lfs that had one he followed you about and if you were cleaning hed be trying to rub against you etc. They just are a very nice fish

aww bless, he was trying to get my attention yesterday but today he's a bit ignorant, slightly worried about the guppies though, i haven't seen him chase them or anything but they seem to be hiding alot. or maybe its just me being paranoid.

Andywg, Miss Wiggle and DiscusAngle, thank you so much for your reponses, i am not going to give up. I appreciate your help! I am mad about animals and am determined to give Chad the life he deserves. I have made the mistake of not researching Mbu's first so i am not going to make another mistake by taking him back and maybe having someone else buy him and then them taking him back - being passed from pillar to post will be stressful for him and i dont want that, he is home now so thats it. I am actually having an extention built and am thinking that the extention now will be for him - i'll cope with the kitchen i have ha ha - he's more important.

Now, people can we please go back to my first post and answer the other questions i had about feeding etc. I am looking at websites about Mbu's and the links i have been sent but i do value peoples opinions therefore welcome yours.
