i finally found them at my lfs and bought three albino cats. would have preferred colorful ones but those guys were really cute. they're probably still babies since they're like 1 inch long. at the pet store they were swimming around like crazy. i figured they'd settle down in my tank but they didn't. they're so hyper, chasing each other, is that normal behavior? because i was under the impression they were really shy and generally spent time on the bottom on the tank but these guys are swimming everywhere! and should i feed them anything else except flakes? thanks
they're certainly going to add excitement to my tank.

congratulations on your new fishies - I have albino cories in all 4 tanks

I think they're cool. Mine are all very friendy and curious and when they are little they zap all over the tank. I feed mine spirulena tablets, they

love frozen bloodworms, and any other food that reaches the bottom. Mine are not very interested in flakes (probably cos they know I'll feed them something else

) - they also love it when I put freeze dried tubifex in the tank for the guppies (I hold them down the bottom and they eat them out of my hand)

cories - sue

Cheddar: classic or cliche?
cories whizz all over the place when they're happy

i have albino cories too

if you want more colour, have a look at the bronze cories - they arent the most colourful fish you'll ever see, but they'll school with the albinos (the albinos are albino versions of the bronze cory

)
yay for the cories!!

thanks guys!

so these cories will settle down once they're grown? one more question, how big do these cories get? i love their size right now and hopefully they won't get much bigger. and they're so cute! i love the way they swim near the gravel looking for food, they're like little vacuums, lol. and when they zap all over the place, the other fish just look at them weirdly because the keep bumping into everybody

i made them a little cave but they're not interested at all, they're too busy swimming wildly to settle down, those crazy cats

Hi Aquarius
Congradulations on your new corys.

I'm glad to learn that your lfs finally got them in!
Here's a link about them. I find that the albinos are a little smaller than the size indicated here. The bronze corys are a bit bigger than the albinos.

Once they get to be full grown, if you have both sexes, they will probably breed for you.
Enjoy them! (I know you will!)

I have an albino and a
Corydoras julii and I love them. They are little gas guzzlers though...never any "extra" laying around if you know what I mean.
