I Have Caught The Bug...

so as i have said i have caught the fish keeping bug...or it has caught me...
haha... i have found that it is a real... desease like malaria, once you get it you can never stop..(i heard this from a docter...seriosly)
well i have 4 tanks and a bowl, and looking into getting my 5th and 6th... personally i think i amdoing well for a 14 yearold but hey iam still going, but wow ZAR is so not a good place to be a fishkeeper, specially cape town... well i am broke but will get my pocket money on the 28th and will try get 2 new tanks then... if i can clean my room enough to convince my mom that i have enough space... it will be ok i am good at hiding things... imight be able to convince her to get me awall unit that i could reenforce to put a couple of small tanks on...

this one is onmy desk... about 60cm

and here are some of my fish...

for my next tanks i am wanting to do a proper planted job, hopfully using co2 and ferts.

my plan so far..(for the tank i havent found jet... )
is prob a 90cm long tank
with sand substrate (that i have already got and cleaned)
rocks or bogwood (duah!)

fish?
a few kuli loaches
white clowd mountain minnows
glass hachetfish
and maby a few femail bettas (if i can find them...)

this list is just a option and i would prefer lots of the same fish than lots of different types of fish...

please comment orjustsay some thing random, it brings gr8 joy to know that people have read my post, andgreaterjoy if they can relate...

HA HA its not just a bug it's an addiction.

Bettas were my first addiction years ago. Now I'm all about NW Cichlids.

I like the tanks and your fish look great. Are you going to get more guppies?

i am breeding the guppies and have them in 3 of my tanks,
and i must say itis a beautiful addiction,... ane expensive

It is like a disease isnt it! Its got me - and ive passed it on to my brother! Ive got 2 and he has recently set his first up and he wants more already!! Ive already got plans for a 3rd - a semi aggressive tank, a 4th - a nano reef, and a 5th - a cichlid tank!!

Have to say, Im not a fan of bettas (*gasp*) but that one you have pictured is beautiful! Keep at it!

haha... im trying topass it on to the rest of my family,
and a month ago i would have said i wasnt a fanof bettas ether then saw a hole bunch at my lfs an tiny packets so i got him and he was very bad shape...now i love them .... theyhave so much character..... I WANT MORE>>>>MORE<<<<MORE>>>>>

im more impressed with that dwarf gourami.... beuatiful; fish mate .. keep at it.. theres loadsa younguns on this sitee... i myself am 16 .. only got 3 tanks (soon to be 2 )
keep it up .... after about a year of keeping your mu will draw a line ... mine did a while back.. hence the fact ive only got 3 tanks

my momdrew the line at my first tank, the 30l but i managed toconvice her to erase it, i told her it was either a fish tank or a rat/mouse breeding farm....she chose the fish... cant undersand y.lol but ya i need topay for everything myself and find my own way to the lfs and back and keep my room spotless to convince her that i have enough space,
and i do somy collection grows...

andthe pic of my dwarf gourami was taken with my cellphone when he was still in the packet he has coloured up alot more now i will try get another pic, if anyone wants to see...

i have to do the same with a leopard gecko .. but need to raise 60 quid first

my mum wont let me get another tank for a leopard gecko ....


so im draining my 13 gallon and converting it to a reptile tank

so ill only have 2 fish tanks (african and dp)
the 13 gallon has been a problem since i got it realy ... the lights dont like me and the heater likes to switch itself of occasionaly and the bns keep breeding too much fry ... so im guna make it a gecko tank , either that or get green anoles
so buy converting it sorts everything out ...
