It's sad really. No offense to breeders but I don't think its right to keep bettas in beanie boxes. If anyone in the UK does that for only a few bettas- go to Wilkinsons! You can get a 2 ish gallon plastic tank for £5 and a 1 gallon for £1.35!

I think you will find that giving / getting Goldfish as prizes is different from county to county it's illegal in Worcester UK to give them as a prize!

Its not illegal in Fife in Scotland. Went to a market last year just to buy a fish so i could try and save it and put it in my pond. Feel sorry for them.

they do that at the winter carnival at the elementary school. Most of the time no one wins them so they end up giving them away. My first time i had 7 goldfish in a 1 gallon tank. They actually lived for about 2 years and then they started eating each other.

They graze on the roots, I have also seen where there is a tube suck through the top so that food can be added.
