Got some feedback for you! (-: Great job, btw. It was neat since I started at the beginning of the thread and read to the end, I got to see your progress and new creative achievements. Good for you!

Yay!:

-Love the ones that are flat on top with a swirl pattern on top. Looks like a tree stump to me, which is natural looking. If you go for a wood grain pattern sometime, try keeping the swirl on top and doing the pattern down the sides of your flat top pieces, it'll look good methinks.

-Also like the ones that are mostly straight coils with occasional swirls on the sides. Again, looks like wood to me! Knots give that same effect and I think it's cool.

-The two colors give an interesting effect. I only saw a pic of one, and I think it's not perfect but I think when yo play with the idea more you'll have some neat products. I don't have any ideas for it at the moment, other than you could make it really hard on yourself and probably not have it work but possibly be totally cool, by twisting two thin pieces of clay together before coiling them, so rather than black white black white, you get more of a blackandwhite feel. If that makes any sense. (-:

-Finally, I also really enjoyed the ones that are made entirely of swirls. Mollie loves swirls. I may be interested in one like that down the road, see suggestions below.

Not so much...:

-One concern I had was the seemingly sharp edges on your holes. It's hard to tell from a picture, but I was afraid the edges were quite sharp, as I know fired clay can be very sharp, and thought you might benefit from watching out for that. Smooth it over a bit, even rounding it to the point of looking more naturally formed; you have round pieces made of round material, see what it looks like when you put in rounded-edges on your round holes. (-: Again, it's hard to tell from the pic, you may already be doing that, and also it's not really a problem just a thought I had.

-Not sure if this should go under Yay! or Not so much... because it's kinda both. On the one with the tails hanging all over the piece, I actually kinda like the idea. I'm curious what it would look like with either long strips that went the entire length of the piece (if you build them from the top down, that could be hard to do, if you were doing from the bottom up, then it'd be easy as you would just lay the tail over what you already coiled and cut it) or shorter pieces. In both cases, much more numerous.

Suggestions:

She-who-just-got-another-corn-snake, aka me, thinks those might make really nifty snake hides (caves). Maybe even water dishes if you glazed the inside so they were not pourous. They would look perfect in a snake cage and if you'll custom design them, people can have ones that fit perfectly for their set-up and aren't too expensive! I would possibly be quite interested in this if you decided to try that out. Again though, rounded edges would be super important, more so with snakes because unlike fish they do rub against everything, that's how they move around. Don't get too excited when I say I'm interested, though; my snakeypoo cost me $90 not counting a few pieces of equipment so I'm not into buying anything right at this moment . However. Next month. Pay check. I might look into it. Water dishes are being buggers to find at a good price, too, so I may be interested if you can make it so the water won't leak and the dish won't harbor bacteria (opposite of the advantages of your current setup!) for considerably less than $20?

And I'm curious how much s&h would be. (-: I live in the mid-west. You have great prices, but as always shipping is the killer.

That's all for now. (-: I really like the look of some of your pieces; I didn't much at first but they really grew on me and I think they're niftyneato now. If I wasn't going for a very natural look in my aquarium (rocks, real shell, only live plants, no background, etc) and if I had more money :cough: I might be interested in some stuff for my fishies. (-: Keep up the good work, and don't get discouraged. Businesses take awhile to get off the ground. Make sure you hit places like this forum as well as e-bay, petshops (you mentioned those already) and other places where you'll get lots of people seeing your products!
