I got bad algea. It is green and seems to cover everthing. I have high stocking levels but am overfiltered(tank is 200l filter is 1000lph) (see sig for fish) and also the tank has been setup around a month water stats are:
Ammonia-0
Nitrite-0
Nitrate-10-20
Ph-8

I have a rusty and bn plec to help me and will soon be getting 2 more bn's.
I tried to photo the algea could you help me ID what type it is.
I also have brown smears all over the glass. Here is the algeon the rocks.

Hi. Well i'm not an expert on algae, but i'll offer some things to think about. If you have brown algae, that is what is called Diatoms which is not really algae even though it looks like it. It is normal in new tanks, people say it will go away on its own, and some say it is caused by not enough light. Green algae likes lots of light, so if you keep your lights on for longer than 9-10 hours a day you could try reducing that a little. Your nitrates aren't that high so maybe you should check for phosphates or maybe silicates in the water as these can also cause algae growth. Good luck, I know it's a pain.
