I Got A Trinidad Pleco In A 29g

its about like 2 inches rite now but wat should i do...i heard they get bigg , will it be able to survive its whole life

if not how long can it stay in the 29 g for ... i shoulda known they grow big eh

so should i just let it grow in the 29 or flushem down the toulet n get a smaller pleco like one that maxed growth is like 6 inches...instead of like 20

how long does it take for the pleco to reach like 10 inches

no, it's not really going to live life to it's full potential. no you should no flush it down the toilet just so you can go buy another pleco at least try taking him back to your LFS or giving him away. and it will take less then a year to reach 10inches. bit negative but the truth.

DONT EVER FLUSH FISH! it is cruel!!!

I would say it will take him 2 years to get to 10 inches, I would take him back to the store when he is too big.

Look for a clown pleco, mine is full grown at 2 inches long

newfishaddict- i think clown plecs grow to 4inches.... but i could well be worng, just going by my old 2, fish index and the web.

if he's well fed he'll grow quickly, i couldn't see it taking 2years for a plec to grow from 2 inches to 10. i got a sailfin plec from 1 inch to 14 inches in a year.

Advertise it in the buy and sell section, or locally.

advertise it in the buy and sell section there's a chance someone might take it off you. i would take it back while it is still small as it would be easier and if you wait to long the fish may become stunted.

most LFS i have take fish back or will except fish, try ringing them first and asking.

you shouldn't really flush dead fish let alone live fish.

at least try and take it back and if they won't then you may have to think of other ways. but i wouldn't keep it the tank is to small really and wouldn't do much good for it as it gets really big if it did.

they also produce so much waste, your tank would probably be better off if you could take it back or give it away in the buy and sell section.

do you have many LFS? i would in the morning, it's getting on abit where i am duno where you come from, phone each one of my LFS until i found one that would take it back starting with the one i bought it from.

My local fish store will take plecos back as donations but they wont pay you for them. My brother took his back when it was 15 inches....
