i got a new fishie

Bettas are great. Are you gonna have him by himself or in a community tank?

he is in my peacefull community tank, sharing the tank with mollies platies tetras and such, i put gouramis and barbs and angels in my other tank

i took some more pics of my betta today, its 3 weeks older now, as you can see, its a lot healthier now, the colouration is better the fins are no longer tattered, and its grown so much, i was thinking about calling it dave, after dave lister from red dwarf, cos it is small and red :p

He's looking gorgeous well done

Do I see a heavily pregnant guppy in the first pic? Looks like he's keeping an eye on her :D

wont have to worry about betta food for a while.

nice betta

i wish my betta was nice enuff to put into a community. he flairs at the guoramis when they get to close to his bowl.

your betta looks a little shreded as far as his fins go. do you have a power filter or any kind on current in your tank? a current, amongst other things, can cuase his fins to get blown and shreded....

thanks for the comments :D his fins are still growing back, it might be just the picture, i think they pretty much look allright, i do have a powerfull current in my tank from the filter, but it doesnt swim at the top/back where it shoots out, so that shouldnt be a problem, as for the guppy question, the tank mates are platies, mollies (mostly young uns) 1 gold + 1 blue gourami, 2 corys, and a big old sailfin plec and a baby golden nugget pleco
