I got a jumper on my hands!

My very first betta fireball is a jumper and a biter. he's almost 2 yr old now, I have to feed him through the hole in the lid of his tank during water changes I use 2 nets to catch him and I have to put him in a jar with a lid. Once he jumped out landed on the table and was biting us why we tried to scoop him up on the table, he ended up in the floor it was horrible so now I dont take any chances with him.

One of my bettas jumps every time I open the feeding hood and he'll keep jumping and jumping as long as the hood is open

My other betta will jump if I leave the feeding hood open for a few minutes and no food has arrived.

my girls do this, my boys don't. they boys do a little hope when its blood worm,, however rayne has left the water. some times she doesn't even wait for the food to clear the tank she just jumps. thankfully she has never hit the floor.

I've never had a male jump. I set up a female sororiety, a little while ago...The tank has a lid, but the openings in the back to accomodate heater and filter were not sealed. I got up in the morning to find one of my new girls dead on the floor! I've now sealed every possible escape route...I think!
