I Broke Down And Got One More Fish.

I was done buying fish. My keyhole passed away a few days ago I had him for 3 years but he was full grown when I got him so I don't know how old he was. He almost died once but I saved him. This time I could not. All the other fish are fine. So I moved some fish around. I have room so...

I went out looking for plants I did not find any I wanted. I found a 2" Festivum of some kind. I never see these guys at the LFS. I have looked into them before did my research. So when I saw one I bought it.

I will post photos once hes adjusted. These guys are so much better looking in person. I'm done buying fish now...

Its hard to hold back. I saw a little dwarf acara I think it was too tell for sure I almost got him too but held back myself.

Here is my new fish. He is doing great but is in the QT tank for a few weeks. I need to deside what tank he will go in.

I love the stress colours, wish they was that colour all the time ...i should be meaner to my fish

Hahah Dont be mean. they do look cool when stressed. At the store this guy was so dark with the lines. But being in a 20 gal by himself he's not stressed out. It's a nice little fish it reminds me of an angle fish.

yehh there nice but mine died cause it was so scared of me and never ate for like a month and on hid in the cave forever.

Lovely fish, mine is growing fast since being in the main tank for about 3 months now. Just got over a bacterial infection due to a power cut etc.. but still looks great.

Does yours have a blue sheen to the silver scales? Looks just like the one I got and a photo cannot really do them justice, love the long pelvic fins also they will extend beyond the anal fin and look cool. Really like it when they puff out all the finnage to look larger. This is what 'Colin' does at feeding time to the keyholes, so funny to watch.

Enjoy your new fishy friend, he will grow quite fast I am sure,

I just wanted to add an update. This fish is in the small community tank 36 gal planted. He is doing great. Not at all shy he likes to chace the schooling fish out of his way. He is exploring and seems to have adjusted very well.
