I Bought A Severum!

I bought a red spotted Severum yesterday, a very handsome little fella (well i say fella not sure if it's a male or female)he's about three inch settling just nicely, i'll say one thing it's got in common with me it's got a healthy appetite!

Yep, I've heard that a lot....I'll be getting a Severum (hopefully a Rotkeil if I can find one) when my new tank finally arrives

I love my red severum. I love my green severum too but she has been a bart lately( long storie.) but yes these guys love to eat every thing. Make sure you give them some plant based flakes these guys love to eat plants and I find if I feed mine plant bases flakes they are not as bad about makeing lunch of my plants.

These fish are awesome you will be in love and will want more.

severums r cool, dont attack fish VERY OFTEN, but sometimes do, and know how to defend theirselves from other cichlids meaning u dont need a 3x bigger severum to defend it self from a red devil, the sev can be slightly bigger and get along for years... my sev is 5" right now and lets me pet him like an oscar but they do get scared easily though such as loud footsteps or if u suddenly jump in front of the tank window

Absolutely Gutted, earlier this evening spotted tiny little white spots covering the new addition! done a 30% water change, turned the temp up half a degree and treated with king british white spot medicine! I hate white spot!
