You've been paying attention, Luke-e!! ;)

Experiment with raw cane sugar, I found it lasts longer.

The ladder needs to build up a coating so don't worry if the bubbles get stuck for a while. Just leave it alone and it'll sort itself out...

Andy

I have :D

I might try this myself too :)

Ah, never realised it builded up a coating. Makes sense i suppose. :good:

It's all working now thankfully but...

One of my cardinals started gasping at the surface and the others started "breathing" heavier very disturbing.

To remedy I have put an airstone in and they all seem happier now, thankfully!

The current stats are:

No3: 2
No2:0
GH: 16
KH: 3
PH: 7.8

These seem ok, although pH could be lower I guess, any ideas?

Thanks

Gasping at the surface suggests the co2 levels rised high in such a short period. I remember reading somewhere today that fish can be aclimatised to co2 levels gently, by increasing the amount of yeast slowly so it doesnt rise too high, but as long as the air stone is relieving them it should be fine. Just keep an eye on them, if they are gasping for long periods i suggest you remove the co2 and reset it using less yeast.
If you find your yeast overflowing into the tank, trying something like i did (after seeing someone else do it):
Was having a bit of a problem with my co2. The yeast mix kept leaking into the tank and over flowing into it. So, i made myself a 'top off' system which allows any overflowing yeast sollution to go into a bottle rather than the tank, yet still allows co2 into the tank. I sealed it with superglue.

Heres to show it working:
