i've read all that stuff about how you shouldn't feed your fish too much. some people even skip a day's feeding every week. and i read that you don't need to worry about them if you go away for a weekend, or even a week -_-

i've recently however got into the habit of feeding mine twice a day, enough to keep them going a good 5-10 minutes (they always finish the lot). yesterday evening i decided to cut back a bit so i gave them a much smaller meal. and this morning i got up pretty late and when i came to feed them, they were going crazy. the gouramis were spitting water at me, and them and the guppies and the danio were ramming the fry's floating tank. the dominant dwarf gourami was also chasing everyone away. i was scared to put my fingers near them!

does anyone else's fish get this hungry?? i'd hate to see how bad they get after a weekend away.... :/

my fishes r mouches i sometimes feed them 3 or 4 times a day but in very little bit to enshure they eat it all

Hi noop :)

I prefer to feed mine frequent small meals.

I have fry which need to be fed that way and there is often a pair of corys being conditioned, so they get fed frequently, too.

I just love to feed my fish and watch them eat. :D

Fish usually eat daily in the wild, unless dormant. ( insects, vegetation, etc.)
Normally they don't "pig out" as they do in home aquariums.
I treat them as I do most similar animals.

Several small meals a day.

Mine are healthy, bright and active. My tank stays clean as well. :D HTH"s
