I brought some female guppys today and one of thems hunched over and im sure she wasnt in the shop.

Any ideas what this could be?

Could be a number of things. The stress of the move can sometimes have nasty effects on fish. That and ammonia in the bag building up.

Might settle over the next few days but to be honest I don't think it will.

your guppy will not  recover take it back to the shop and get a  refund they should not sale poor quality fish

a fair comment from fish48, well worth a chat with the LFS.

It also looks more male than female to me and is in very poor health. Take it back and get a refund.

Well optimistic thinking and shes doing a hell of a lot better straightened out a little bit and swimming around like the others :)

Now I can see the Anal fin better it's definitely female. Still take her back, she's in very, very poor health :( A female guppy should look like this when healthy.

I agree that if you don't have a quarentine tank where you can nurse her to health, it is a better idea to take her back.

(That one in the post above looks nearly like a clone of one of mine! LOL)

I've seen the hunched position on guppys. And it always ends with the fish dying a few days or weeks after.
Never new if it was a specific disease or just a common guppy sign of poor health.
But take the advice and take her back to the shop.
if you really want to keep her bear in mind that she will eventually die. Set her up in a quarantine tank so she does not spread whatever she has to others.
If its not about a refund keep her. Wether she dies or not she will be much better taken care by you than in the shop and might last a bit longer after all a guppy is not that expensive, but do not keep her with the other fish.
Has a fishkeeper of course I do not like to waste my money ob greedy LFS but even a sick fish deserves to live or die with the dignity of proper care.

 That's my female XD

She won't necessarily die. I did buy one sick looking guppy once (turned out to just be malnourished)... she did develop a curve (which I believe is somehow linked to how she was fed before I got her) but she is still in my tank going strong.

Oh yeah, they can survive. It's more likely that if she has males harassing her though she'll get stressed and pregnancy could be very difficult for her with the curve...

Could be. I keep only virgins or "empty" females these days. Mine with the curved spine is virgin.

Oh yeah, not saying that's not possible but I'm guessing most of the LFS females are pregnant. Even my PAH has pregnant females yet they keep male and female separate :/ They come in to the shop pregnant. Ah well, if the OP only has females and has never had males she may be OK but if there are males I'd separate her or take her back.
