Hi,
Since my friend came over with a camera, they took some pics of my fish so I though't I'd upload them here, they are by no means the greatest pictures ever taken but they show the fish.
I have 4 hujetas in a 90 gallon tank (48x18x24), its got a nice big piece of bogwood, a piece of slate and at the moment one tall onion plant (have ordered more, have some growing on when they get bigger they will go in, and have also ordered some giant vallis - hope of creating a 'forrest area'), there are also alot of floating plants on the surface.
I know of the reports that some hujeta can reach 24" in the wild, but numerous sources and research that they only reach a max of 12" in captivity persuaded me to give them a go, incase they do get too big I have a back up plan for them (but I don't think they will).
At the moment they are feeding very well on bloodworm, only got them 2 days ago, in time I'm going to try and get them on pellet food, but for now just nice to see them eating.
So here they are (pics are abit dark for some reason, but you can still see the fish and environment).
Picture showing the general layout of the tank - the bring red light must be from the camera or something.
All 4 together (the shop did have 5, but one got eaten as it didn't grow as fast)
The two bottom right fish in this pic, are going for the same bloodworm. Funny to watch a mini tug-of-war.
