I'm trying to visualise the dimensions of a 3 gal, & at a guess, I'd think 4 of 'em would go in there if you have slight aeration.... If you tell me the dimensions, I'll be more accurate.

Or actually wanting to give them some space to move around without bumping into one another and behave slightly more naturally? I would say 3-4 guppies max... Sure the tank can support much more, but it would look like an LFS tank.
