Hi everybody, I'm new and just wanted to give a big hello. Many of you appear to be Aussies or Kiwis, so I should say that I am a Yank, but i speak the international language of fish. I am just starting up my aquarium after a few year's hiatus, so I will probably have many questions.

By the way, if you have any questions about elasmobranchs (sharks, rays, skates) let me know, since I am currently working towards my PhD in the biomechanics of such fish.

see you around!

Hi and welcome. We are actually from all over the globe. We have many of your fellow compatriots here in this forum. There is a good mixture of knowledge and I'm sure you'll be asked about your specialist subject.
The main idea of this forum is just to have fun. We like to think of ourselves as one big family. I hope you will join in. :fun:

Welcome!!!!!!!!!!!!

As dragon said we have a few "Yanks" here, but are quite international!!

Glad you found us and hope you enjoy your stay.............

Hi jdoggrr. I just found this site myself a few days ago, looks like we have some great fish enthusiasts here. I like the fact that there is little to no "Flaming" at this site. IMO flaming ruins my enjoyment of the forums.
Oh just to put at ease, everyone is welcome here...even Canucks like me. :p :D ....oh ya, welcome, and have a good time Eh.

Puffer,

Your absolutley correct..on both accounts!!!

ALL are welcome here and.......................

As for flaming....well we don't cotton to it here!!!!
