Good Morning!
I am a newbie to this site and to fish keeping. Through Craigslist, I became the proud owner of a free Eclipse 12-gallon in perfect condition with heater, plants, thermometer, gravel, filters, etc. After much reading and preparing, I put in 2 zebra and 2 leopard Danios this last Monday and crossed my fingers hoping all will go well.
So, i've been watching every day for any signs of stress or discomfort what with it being a new setup. What I wasn't expecting was for one of the leopards to start laying eggs! Shouldn't this be abnormal for a tank thats been in use for less than a week? Other than that the fish seem to be doing great, though the male leopard does seem to be a bit of a thug. Maybe related to the egg-laying female?
Anyway, I am glad to have found this site and look forward to meeting everyone!
