How Will Endlers Fare In Low Temperatures?

I'm setting up a shrimp tank, and I was thinking of getting some endlers just to occupy the water. However, this water will be 72F in order to promote higher oxygen levels and to make the various invertebrates in the tank live longer.

Will they be OK at this temp?

yes they Will be OK at 72f .i find thay do best between 68- 74f.

As fish48 says and before any heat nuts start to argue against him, 72f is perfect for endlers.

Endlers can tollerate temperatures anywhere from 19C - 30C. MOst prefer 26C but this is mainly because they have them with other fish that prefer that temp.

I think your endlers will do fine at the temp you want to keep them at.

At 72F they will produce more males than at higher temperatures but they are OK down to about 68F as a minimum temperature. They will also be longer between producing new batches of fry because it will take the fry longer to develop and be born. Instead of the usual 23 days between drops, it could easily grow to over 4 weeks as the temperature drops. They are also OK up to about 84F and in their home waters live at higher temperatures than guppies do. The high end limit is not an issue with this particular question.
