How do you work out the volume of my fish tank. It is a built in fish tank and i have had to brake it down into rectangle and triangle as its not a hexigan. I have worked out the volume of the rectangle but need to know the corners and the back that i have measured as triangles. I hope this makes sence.

Thanks

Take the two sides that form a right angle and use them plus the height to calculate the volume of a rectangle. Then just divide the result in half. In other words, your triangle will be half the volume of a rectangle. Hope that made sense.

Work out the surface area of the top view, then multiply that by the height.
