How To Get It To The Bottom?

at the moment i have a firemouth and 10 columbian tetras in my tank my problem is when i put sinking pellets in the tank obviously the tetras grab em, even they are too big for them! and the tank is 30" deep so i cant place them on the bottom!

ive tryed distracting them with some flake but they still get them

any ideas?

Perhaps place some pellets in each corner, hopefully then some will reach the bottom!

scoop some tank water up in a glass, put the pellets in the water IN the glass.....use your finger to poke them under or just wait until they absorb enough water to sink...then just pour back into tank

use a clean bit of pipe, place it to the bottom and drop the food down the pipe.
