My current tank is 59"(150cm), long, Red Sea Reefer 525XL, basically a reef tank with sump.
I am planning to convert it to Freshwater, semi planted low tech, stones, driftwood and sand.
Dimensions are 150cm long, 57cm deep and 55cm high
Its the depth and height part that I'm having trouble 'visualising'
My initial plans so far:
2 slopes, left and right side of tank, sloping down towards the middle, less slope of right side since that is closest to sofa
would it look out of proportion if it does follow Rules of Third?
Instead of buying a ton of sand/soil/gravel, is there another way of building up the mound?
I heard of small lava rocks in a bag
A bit lost at the moment with the planning....ideas welcomed
