I've been trying to get my koi hand tame again. The three outside are finally eating from the top again with me, but still doing a bit of a "duck 'n' run" manouver. The remaining 5 inside are still VERY skittish, only the platinum doitsu ogon has dared to kiss a finger. Last night, the larger pleco was thrilled that I was serving up the color food and ate off my fingers! Not the first time, but it is an odd sensation as their mouth has more velvety suction on it. After watching the pleco, the platinum ogon finally gave it another try. This is taking a lot of patience as I'm sure the little ones inside feel I must be a heron to have stolen their 3 larger tank mates away. Any guesses?

Little Koi are often skittish, they seem to know they are more vunerable than adults and seeing their big friends caught and taken away couldn't have helped, but I am sure that when they are in the pond all will be happy and well Koimom. :)
