How Stocked Is My Tank?

Yeah, I know, it's a cliche topic but I'm really not sure with my tank... Under? Over? Spot on? I'm not really sure. So I'm hoping I can get some input. I have one lone corydora (there was a corydora disaster, he's the only one left), and was thinking about adding back some cories but, as I said, I'm not sure where my tank's at as far as stocking and not sure if and how many more I should add.

The tank is 20 gallons tall, with a Hagen Aquaclear 20 filter.
The inhabitants are 1 keyhole cichlid, 8 green neon tetras, 2 otocinclus, 1 olive nerite snail, and one bronze corydora.
The tank is planted and has a moderate amount of algae. Mostly that stupid hair stuff.
I change 3-4 gallons a week.

Thanks for any input you can give me.

I think you should be ok. Try a q a d v i s o r though. If possible pair up your keyhole cichlid.

Nothing wrong with what you've got there in my opinion - but that is what stocking is down to, what you feel is OK, If I were you I'd up the Corydorass to 6 and add more of the Green Neon Tetra's.

Yeah, I did check on AQ before coming here, but it's just a calculator. I'd rather see what actual humans think of my stocking.

Up to 6 corydoras? Really? I was thinking at most I could get up to 3 cories without overcrowding.

I'm kind of scared to pair up my cichlid, I don't know if he'd get along with another and I don't know if I want to risk it. I hadn't really thought about the neons.

I found my keyholes to keep themself to themself, i wasnt sure on there sex though.
I also read somewhere that they're more active when there's more as they can be pretty shy fish? true or not, i'll let someone else decide lol.

Oh man, mine used to be so extremely shy (just going near the tank would send him into the corner), but now he owns the whole tank. Always exploring, foraging, being rambunctious. I totally forgot he was ever shy.

Good on you looking for advice from real people Katty.
I would expect you to be able to add a few Corydoras aeneus back into your tank with no trouble. Another species of Corydoras would not have the benefit of making the existing one more socially active. Cories are very sociable fish but only with their own species.

Oh man, mine used to be so extremely shy (just going near the tank would send him into the corner), but now he owns the whole tank. Always exploring, foraging, being rambunctious. I totally forgot he was ever shy.

My three otocinclus used to be super shy, always hiding the back behind a bush, until I added a small school of /Paracheirodon simulans/ green neon tetras and now they are all over the place. I even had one sucking on my betta, while this latter was trying to eat the otocinclus's zucchini. I wonder why the change ... when did it stop being shy? Was it when you added other school fish? I ask because I feel like my otocinclus feel like they are part of the green neon tetras' school ...

That's true. Do you think adding 4 bronze corydoras, making a school of 5, would be OK?
