The following pics are clickable - was jsut wondering how soon you think she might have her fry?? She's being very anti social chasing away other fish and being heavily harassed by the male??

I have just coaxed her into the hatchery for the 3rd picture - I'm not sure if I'm right but from other pics I've seen here of mollys / plattys that are heavily due that her passage is opening in prep for the birth??

Can't really look for a white mark on a white fish lol!

Many Thanks

looks very close to me but I could be wrong, she looks like mine did just before giving birth,
I would keep her in the trap over night if she hasn't had them in the morning let her out for a bit, then put her in the trap again for the night
I use a trap but never leave fish in more than 10 hours at a time

Definitely close, i would say within the week, if she dont drop tonight, release her tomorrow., try gain couple days later.

No fry yet so she's back in the tank, I'd like to say happily but the male has gone utterly loopy harassing her for further breeding!

Will keep you posted :)

Thanks again for the advice :)

I would guess around 3 days to go by her shape. If you stress her by catching her in a breeder, it may happen sooner and she would probably be close enough to have viable fry.

Still no fry but both my female mollies are now behaving as if they are both due. Keeping a close watch and thoroughly enjoying the process!

Is it worth still popping her in the hatchery over night each night just in case? She doesn't get stressed being in there and even seems to go into it quite willingly!

if she isn't stressed I would put her in to give her a break from the males but keep taking her in and out of the trap could be up setting for her
I have a platy in a large trap at the mo as the males wouldn't leave her alone and she looks very close,

hope your fry come very soon x
